I've been working as a French tutor for five years, and have also taught French for a number of years. I also excelled at Advanced Placement exams and other standardized exams, so I'm effective at helping students prepare and become familiar with relevant content. I work to make foreign language accessible to students, and believe in the importance of communicating and practicing speech. I love teaching and guiding student success. I also like to create learning spaces that are encouraging and pleasant. I feel confident tutoring French, Reading, Literature, Advanced Placement French Language and Culture, Social Studies, Geography, English, Advanced Placement Human Geography, Advanced Placement English Language and Composition, among others. I can also work with students on ACT prep (Reading, English) and SAT Subject Test prep (French and French with Listening). I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and San Francisco State University. I'm currently living in Burt, NY. I enjoy reading, film, sailing, cooking, and traveling.
